“Away To The Lake” is an 11x14 original black ink drawing on white canvas featuring a mountain road winding its way along the edge of a great mountain lake. Two small boats can be seen travelling alongside the highway as waves of clouds or sunlight rise above the horizon in the distance.
This piece was inspired by Montana Highway 35 that winds its way along the East side of Flathead Lake from Polson at the Southern edge to Big Fork in the North. The road seems to flirt with the edge of the lake drawing you near and far as if inviting the traveller to abandon their journey to play in the deep lapping water beside them. Rich with texture, this piece is a call to adventure - let’s away to the lake!
