“Impact” is a 16x20 original black ink drawing on white canvas featuring a skier with their skis slung across their back making their way through deep snow towards the top of a mountain ridge above them. Snow falls heavily all around as they make their arduous climb to the top.
When I drew this piece, I was thinking of the effort it takes to reach our goals, how life can sometimes feel like a struggle, and how we must keep putting one foot in front of the other to reach the top. I titled this drawing “Impact” thinking of the trail this skier leaves in their wake. Our actions have impacts greater than we can ever know, as we blaze trails for others to follow.
