The dark surface of each boulder was built up with a series of parallel lines creating great depth in an otherwise seemingly simple piece. I love that this image calls you in from a distance and offers another experience once you have drawn near.
For me, this image has also become a symbol for the centered, capable, powerful and amazing women I have been fortunate enough to get to know over the years. I hope it inspires young women to reach for new heights and to be confident in the fullness of who they are.
