“Ski Wave I” is a 24x24 larger scale original black ink drawing on white canvas, the first of what I hope will be a series of ski themed snowy explorations of texture, movement, and time. This piece depicts a split second in time as the skier carves across a snowy landscape, throwing up a massive wave of snow that engulfs them. Our attention is drawn to the very edge of the ski on the earth initiating the wave, the skier’s hand on the ski pole determined in its action, and the joyful texture of snow as it flies, all at once airborne.
“Ski Wave I” arrives unframed and ready to hang as is or in the frame of your choosing.
